2 Covers, 2 Viewpoints Pt 2: Creating the Covers

In this unit, students will delve deeply into the complexity and contradiction of history by exploring two different perspectives on a significant figure from American history. Students will work up to designing two book covers to depict two different stories of their figure. In this lesson, students will use text features and design elements to design two book covers that make convincing arguments about the significance of their figure.
